About Us:
The Alumni BRIDGE (Build Resources, Integrate Diversity, Generate Empowerment) Program aims to increase queer mentorship in the business world by connecting current undergraduates with LGBTQ+ working professionals.
This program features volunteers across a wide range of industries and capabilities to provide undergraduates with professional resources, guidance, and informal mentorship/connection within a potential area of interest for future employment.
Mission Statement:
The Alumni BRIDGE recognizes that there’s no “typical” path to entering the business world. After all, Wharton Alliance members reflect a diversity of experiences across all 4 of UPenn’s undergraduate schools.
As a reflection of those principles, we are driven by three key guiding pillars:
1. Build Resources (BR):
At the heart of our mission is a steadfast commitment to philanthropy and volunteering. Our initiatives aim to establish long-term resources and to craft a path to success for future leaders by cultivating a cycle of giving back. We hope to make an impact volunteer-by-volunteer, one student at a time.
2. Integrate Diversity (ID):
New graduates continue to bring a breadth and depth of backgrounds to the corporations they join. By showcasing multi-faceted career journeys, we hope to support the array of backgrounds across current students while fostering an inclusive environment that serves as inspiration for future innovation and success.
3. Generate Empowerment (GE):
Through mentorship, skill development, and a supportive community, we aim to nurture personal and professional growth and self-confidence. Connecting existing professionals to prospective graduates will positively support the next generation of queer leaders.
